When moving, instead of purchasing cardboard boxes for packing, visit your local grocery store and ask for boxes. This is free and allows the boxes from the grocery store to be reused.

Tips of the Day 6.15.14
Support local farmers and shop at Farmer’s Markets.
Before throwing items out or putting in recycling, consider ways to reuse. An example would be tomato sauce jars. Instead of recycling, they can be cleaned out and the jar can be reused.
Keep two separate recycling bins. One bin should be for paper and cardboard. The other should be for plastic and glass. If unsure if an item belongs in paper or plastic, always make sure to look it up online. When recycling bottles, dispose of the bottle cap and recycle the bottle without the cap.
